What it's for

Quick questions, help getting something working, showing off your desktop, and talking about what Chamesle should do next. New releases get announced on Discord first.

IRC

The channel is #chamesle on Libera.Chat, the network most free software projects use. The button above opens it in your browser: pick a nickname and you're in, no account needed.

In an IRC app (HexChat, WeeChat, irssi...), connect to irc.libera.chat, port 6697 with TLS, and join #chamesle.

IRC doesn't keep messages from while you were away. If nobody answers right away, stay connected a while, or ask on the Board.

Where to go for what

• A quick question or a chat: Discord or IRC, whichever you like.
• A question others might have too: the Board. Answers there stay findable, and you don't need a Discord account.
• Something is broken: open an issue on GitHub, with what you did and what happened. That's where bugs get tracked and fixed.
• How do I...: the Docs might already have it.

Be decent

Everyone started somewhere. No question is too basic, and nobody gets told to "just read the wiki". Keep it friendly, keep it on topic, no spam.
